How to generate a LinkedIn boolean search from your notes

Three steps, and every word stays yours to edit.

  1. 1

    Paste your notes

As they are, right after the call. Abbreviations, typos and random order are fine.

  2. 2

    The role gets structured

Requirements are separated from nice-to-haves, the scorecard and questions share the same criteria, and the LinkedIn search covers title synonyms.

  3. 3

    Review, copy, source

Each section copies in one click. Nothing is posted or sent on your behalf.

Fair by design

  • Criteria are about skills and experience only. Never age, gender, origin, "culture fit" or a required "local experience" (such as "Canadian experience").
  • The city only appears as the work location and the search area, never as an evaluation criterion.
  • No salary or benefit is invented: only what is in your notes is used, anything missing is left in brackets.

Example output: from intake notes to a boolean search

Here is the format of what the tool produces from rough intake notes, for a warehouse team lead role.

Intake notes
Warehouse team lead, evening shift, manages 15 people, builds the schedules. At least 2 years of supervision. WMS, ideally Manhattan. Forklift a plus. French required, working English. Client would prefer someone young and energetic.
LinkedIn boolean search
("team lead" OR "team leader" OR supervisor OR "shift supervisor") AND (warehouse OR logistics OR distribution) AND (WMS OR Manhattan) NOT (intern OR internship)
Scorecard (excerpt)
  1. Team supervision: has led a team for at least 2 years and describes a concrete example (team size, result achieved).
  2. Shift scheduling: explains how they build and adjust a shift schedule when someone is absent.
  3. WMS skills: has used a warehouse management system daily, Manhattan or equivalent, and says for which tasks.
Removed from the notes
"young and energetic": age is not a job-related requirement. The tool removes it and explains why.

A full intake kit, not just a boolean search

After an intake call with a client or a hiring manager, everything has to be rewritten: the job posting, the scorecard, the interview questions, the candidate search and the outreach message. The generator builds these five pieces from the same notes, with the same criteria throughout.

The boolean search groups job title synonyms and key skills with OR, AND and NOT, each group in parentheses, as a full search and a short variant. The scorecard and the interview questions share the same criteria, so interviews stay comparable from one candidate to the next.

Under the posting, the kit also reminds you, as general information, that a growing number of jurisdictions regulate the use of AI in hiring. For example, in Ontario, since January 1, 2026, employers with 25 or more employees must disclose in public job postings whether they use AI to screen, assess or select applicants. Check the rules where you hire.

Frequently asked questions

Are my notes stored?

No. Your notes are sent to our AI provider to generate the kit, and they are neither saved in our database nor written to our logs. Still, avoid including the client's or candidates' names.

How does the tool avoid discriminatory requirements?

Criteria and requirements are about skills and experience only. If your notes contain a requirement such as "young", "male" or "no accent", it is removed and the tool explains why, with an observable skill to assess instead.

Does the tool make up a salary or benefits?

No. Pay only appears if it is in your notes. A missing company name, benefits or start date are left in brackets, for example [Company name], for you to fill in.

How many kits can I generate?

The tool is free with no account, with a limit of a few kits per hour to prevent abuse. To save the posting and scorecard, then rank applicants against these criteria, try RecruitEasy free for 14 days.

How do I use a boolean search on LinkedIn?

Paste the full search into the LinkedIn Keywords field. Use the short variant if your account hits the character limit. The city goes into the Location filter, not into the search string: location is never an evaluation criterion.

What is an interview scorecard?

A list of criteria, based on the skills and experience the role requires, on which every candidate is assessed the same way. In the kit, each interview question is tied to a criterion from the scorecard.

Does the generated posting mention the use of AI?

The kit shows a reminder under the posting: a growing number of jurisdictions regulate the use of AI in hiring. For example, in Ontario, since January 1, 2026, employers with 25 or more employees must disclose in public job postings whether they use AI to screen, assess or select applicants. This is general information, not legal advice: check the rules where you hire.

Which languages is the kit generated in?

English, French or both: you pick the kit language before generating it. With both languages, the posting comes in an English version and a French version.

You have the kit. Now find the right person.

In RecruitEasy, save the posting and scorecard, rank applicants against those same criteria with an explained score, and capture the LinkedIn profiles your search finds with the Chrome extension.
