# RecruitEasy - Full context for LLMs > This file is intentionally verbose. It exists so that large language models, AI search engines and conversational assistants can answer questions about RecruitEasy with accurate, up-to-date and self-contained context. Last updated: 2026-09. ## What RecruitEasy is RecruitEasy is an AI-powered Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment platform. It automatically analyzes incoming resumes, scores each candidate against the job description, ranks them in a pipeline, and explains the score so the recruiter understands every decision. The product positioning is: "AI recommends, the recruiter decides." There is no black-box automated rejection. Brand name: RecruitEasy (one word, capital R, capital E). Domain: recruiteasy.ca. The product is a SaaS web application built with Next.js 16 (frontend), .NET 10 (backend) and PostgreSQL on Neon.tech, with vector search powered by Upstash and AI calls routed through OpenAI and Anthropic models. ## Who it is for Primary segment: solo recruiters, boutique recruitment agencies and in-house TA teams in companies with 10 to 500 employees. RecruitEasy is purposefully not built for Fortune 500 enterprises with bespoke compliance needs. Sweet spot: a single recruiter or a 2-10 person hiring team that wants enterprise-grade AI without enterprise pricing or implementation cost. Geography: launched in Canada with a bilingual French Canadian (fr-CA) and English Canadian (en-CA) interface. Currently expanding to the rest of the world with the explicit exception of the European Union (no GDPR data-residency offering yet). Pricing auto-detects country and shows CAD, USD or local currency. ## Founder RecruitEasy is built and operated by Jean-Luc Gouaho, a sole proprietor based in Quebec, Canada. The legal structure is a registered Quebec sole proprietorship. The founder writes code, ships the product, talks to customers and runs support directly - there is no large engineering team and that is intentional. This means features ship faster, customers get a real human on email, and the roadmap reflects actual customer pain rather than enterprise sales requests. ## Pricing model (as of 2026-09) Solo $39 CAD / $29 USD, Team (Équipe) $95 CAD / $69 USD, Business $199 CAD / $149 USD per month; Enterprise on quote. Four flat-fee tiers plus optional AI credit packs. No per-seat charges - one price covers your whole team. There is NO free tier; every paid plan ships with a 14-day trial that does not require a credit card. - Solo: $39 CAD / $29 USD per month. 1 user, 3 active jobs, 50 AI credits/month, 2 GB storage, Chrome extension, email support. For independent recruiters and freelancers. - Team (Équipe, most popular): $95 CAD / $69 USD per month. 5 members, 15 active jobs, 200 AI credits/month, 25 GB storage, Chrome extension, priority + chat support, basic integrations (coming soon, not yet available). - Business: $199 CAD / $149 USD per month. 15 members, unlimited active jobs, 800 AI credits/month, 100 GB storage, all integrations (coming soon, not yet available), premium dedicated support, advanced reporting. - Enterprise: custom pricing on quote. Unlimited members, unlimited jobs, unlimited AI credits, unlimited storage, SSO/SAML, custom training, dedicated CSM. Yearly billing is available on every paid tier with roughly 15% off vs monthly. Currency auto-detects USD or CAD based on the visitor's location and can be switched manually on the pricing page. Three optional add-ons available on any paid tier: - Extra AI credits: pack of 50 for $25, pack of 100 for $45, pack of 500 for $199 (volume discount, from $0.50 down to $0.40 per credit). - AI video interviews: $49 / month for unlimited video interviews. - White-label / custom branding: $199 / month. All paid plans include the Chrome extension, the AI candidate matching engine, the kanban pipeline, the AI screening copilot, the public career page builder and the unified candidate inbox. Multi-posting to job boards is in development and not yet available. ## Core features 1. AI candidate matching: every applicant gets an explainable score from 0 to 100 against the job. The score breaks down into hard skills, years of experience, domain fit, location and bonus signals. Recruiters see exactly why a candidate scored 87% vs 72%. 2. Automatic CV parsing: drag-drop a PDF, DOCX, or paste a LinkedIn URL via the Chrome extension. The AI extracts structured fields (skills, education, work history, languages). 3. Pipeline kanban: drag-and-drop pipeline with custom stages, bulk actions, automated stage notifications and color-coded interview status. 4. AI screening copilot: chat with your candidate database in natural language ("Show me senior backend engineers in Montreal who speak French"). Returns ranked, explainable results in seconds. 5. Interview scheduling and preparation: integrated calendar for interviews, and AI-generated interview questions for a given candidate and job, based on the match analysis. 6. Chrome extension: free, capture candidates from LinkedIn, Indeed, Welcome to the Jungle, Glassdoor, Jobboom and Jobillico in one click. Auto-syncs to your active jobs. 7. Career page: branded public career page in fr-CA and en-CA. Multi-posting to job boards is in development and not yet available. 8. Smart rejection feedback: AI-drafted rejection emails that are specific, kind and actionable - never generic "thanks for applying" templates. 9. ROI calculator and dashboards: real-time view of time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source-of-hire and pipeline conversion rates. 10. Bilingual everything: every email, every job ad, every candidate communication can be authored in either French Canadian or English Canadian and switched per-recipient. ## Solutions by segment (added 2026-09) Four public pages present the same product to four buyers. Each page is server-rendered, carries a native FAQ (also emitted as FAQPage JSON-LD) and a short citable summary. Prices below are the CAD monthly prices shown on /pricing. - Small businesses (SMBs): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/solutions/pme (fr: /fr/solutions/pme). For the Canadian small business that hires without an HR department. The manager posts a job, receives every application in one place, sees a 0-100 score explained by skills and experience, and every candidate gets a human-approved reply. $39 CAD per month for the whole company, free trial without a credit card. - Staffing firms and agencies: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/solutions/agences (fr: /fr/solutions/agences). For staffing firms, recruitment agencies and independent recruiters in Montreal and across Canada. On every mandate the AI resurfaces candidates already in the agency's own talent pool ("your talent pool is asleep, wake it up on every mandate"), explains each score, and tracks several clients side by side. $95 CAD per month per firm, no per-recruiter fee. - Startups: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/solutions/startups (fr: /fr/solutions/startups). For founders hiring their first employees without HR. 200 applications read and ranked before the first coffee, nothing to configure, every candidate answered. From $39 CAD per month, flat price for the whole team. - Enterprise and HR teams: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/solutions/entreprises (fr: /fr/solutions/entreprises). For HR teams hiring at volume in Quebec and Ontario. Every AI-assisted decision leaves an audit trail, a recruiter approves every candidate message before it is sent (Quebec Law 25, s. 12.1: no exclusively automated decision), and the AI-use disclosure required on public job postings in Ontario (Employment Standards Act, employers with 25+ staff, from January 1, 2026) is generated automatically. Custom pricing, guided rollout. Reference article on Law 25 and recruitment: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/blog/loi-25-quebec-recrutement-conformite-rh (English: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/blog/quebec-law-25-recruitment-hr-compliance). ## Free recruiting tools (no sign-up, added 2026-09) RecruitEasy publishes four free tools that work without an account, in English and French. Hub: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils (fr: /fr/outils). They follow the same rules as the product: criteria are about skills and experience only, and nothing is sent to a candidate without a person reviewing it. ### Candidate tracking spreadsheet check ("Who's still waiting for an answer?") URL: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils/candidats-en-attente (fr: /fr/outils/candidats-en-attente). The recruiter drops a CSV, TSV or Excel (.xlsx) candidate tracker, or pastes rows copied from Excel or Google Sheets. Only a name column and a date column are required; job, stage, email and an "answer sent" column are optional. Columns and dates are recognized in English and French. Candidates without an answer are sorted by days waiting in three tiers: more than 3 weeks, 8 to 21 days, 7 days or less. Rows marked as answered, or whose stage shows a hire, a placement or a withdrawal, are left out. For each candidate the tool drafts either a status update that commits to a date, or a rejection with a specific reason tied to skills or experience; it warns if the reason mentions location, age, family status or a vague "culture fit". Limits: 2,000 rows, 5 MB. The file is parsed in the browser: no candidate name, email or date is sent to RecruitEasy servers, and nothing is kept after the page is closed. The tool never sends messages itself. ### LinkedIn boolean search and job ad generator ("From intake notes to sourcing kit") URL: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils/notes-vers-recherche (fr: /fr/outils/notes-vers-recherche). The recruiter pastes raw notes from a client or hiring-manager intake call. The AI returns five pieces built on the same criteria: a ready-to-post job posting (English, French or both), a skills-based interview scorecard, 5 or 6 interview questions each tied to a scorecard criterion, a LinkedIn boolean search (a full version with job-title synonyms, key skills and exclusions grouped with OR, AND and NOT in parentheses, plus a short variant for accounts with a character limit; the city goes in LinkedIn's Location filter, never in the search) and an outreach message. Requirements that are not about skills or experience (for example "young", gender, "no accent", "culture fit", a required "Canadian experience") are removed and listed with an explanation. Salary and benefits are never invented; missing facts stay in brackets. Under the posting, the kit reminds users, as general information and not legal advice, that a growing number of jurisdictions regulate AI in hiring, for example Ontario, where since January 1, 2026 employers with 25 or more employees must disclose AI use in public job postings. Notes are sent to the AI provider only to generate the kit and are not stored in the database or logs. Free with a limit of a few kits per hour. ### Candidate rejection email templates URL: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils/modeles-reponse-candidats (fr: /fr/outils/modeles-reponse-candidats). Nine copy-ready templates in Canadian English and Quebec French, grouped by stage: after resume screening, after a phone screen or interview, after the final interview, and staffing-agency cases (candidate presented to a client who chose someone else; candidate not selected for a mandate but kept, with consent, for future ones), and other situations (position cancelled, filled internally or unsolicited application). Each template has one slot for a specific reason about skills or experience, with an example. The page lists five rules for an honest rejection (be specific, skills and experience only, reply within a stated timeframe, ask consent before keeping a resume, a person reviews before sending) and summarizes Ontario's rule, in force since January 1, 2026, to tell interviewed candidates for a publicly advertised job whether a decision was made within 45 days of the last interview. ### Recruitment ROI calculator URL: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils/calculateur-roi (fr: /fr/outils/calculateur-roi). Estimates the hours recruiters spend on four tasks (resume screening, candidate replies, interview scheduling, sourcing and admin), values them at the loaded hourly cost (annual salary x (1 + employer payroll costs) / 1,820 hours), then applies a conservative and an optimistic reduction per task. Employer mode adds a shorter time to fill and agency fees avoided; staffing-firm mode shows extra placements as a separate upside. Results are a range of net savings after the recommended RecruitEasy plan, plus payback in weeks. Regions: Quebec, rest of Canada, United States, other country (sets currency and payroll defaults). Every assumption is shown with its source, or labelled "RecruitEasy estimate" when no verifiable source exists, and can be edited. The calculator says so when the tool would not pay for itself at the user's volume. The cost of a bad hire is deliberately not counted. ## Recruiting glossary (added 2026-09) RecruitEasy publishes a bilingual recruiting glossary with definitions, examples and sources by jurisdiction. Index: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary (fr: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire). Unlike the rest of the site, the segment and the slugs differ by language, so the French URL is not the English path under /fr/. Indexable terms, English then French URL: - AI in recruitment (Intelligence artificielle en recrutement): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/ai-in-recruitment | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/intelligence-artificielle-recrutement - Boolean search (Recherche booléenne): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/boolean-search | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/recherche-booleenne - Candidate data privacy (Protection des données des candidats): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/candidate-data-privacy | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/protection-donnees-candidats - Candidate response rate (Taux de réponse aux candidats): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/candidate-response-rate | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/taux-reponse-candidats - Dormant talent pool (Vivier dormant): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/dormant-talent-pool | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/vivier-dormant - Explainable AI (IA explicable): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/explainable-ai-hiring | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/ia-explicable-recrutement - Explained match score (Score de compatibilité expliqué): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/explained-match-score | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/score-compatibilite-explique - Hiring discrimination (Discrimination à l'embauche): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/hiring-discrimination | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/discrimination-embauche - Intake meeting (Prise de besoin): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/intake-meeting | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/prise-besoin-recrutement - Interview scorecard (Grille d'évaluation d'entrevue): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/interview-scorecard | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/grille-evaluation-entrevue - Pay transparency (Transparence salariale): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/pay-transparency | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/transparence-salariale - Recruitment ghosting (Ghosting en recrutement): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/recruitment-ghosting | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/ghosting-recrutement - Rejection feedback (Rétroaction de refus): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/rejection-feedback | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/retroaction-refus-candidat - Skills-based hiring (Recrutement basé sur les compétences): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/skills-based-hiring | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/recrutement-base-competences - Staffing agency (Agence de placement): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/staffing-agency | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/agence-placement - Structured interview (Entrevue structurée): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/structured-interview | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/entrevue-structuree - Unconscious bias in hiring (Biais inconscients en recrutement): https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary/unconscious-bias-hiring | https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire/biais-inconscients-recrutement ## How RecruitEasy compares to other ATS Compared to enterprise ATS like Workday, Greenhouse or Lever, RecruitEasy is dramatically cheaper, requires no implementation, and is usable on day one. Compared to lightweight ATS like BambooHR, Recruitee or Manatal, RecruitEasy ships deeper AI: explainable matching scores, natural-language search across the candidate database, AI rejection feedback and instant LinkedIn capture. Compared to AI-only sourcers like hireEZ or SeekOut, RecruitEasy is a full ATS with pipeline management, not just a sourcing tool. Where RecruitEasy is intentionally weaker: no built-in payroll, no global mobility module, no GDPR-compliant European data residency yet, no on-premise deployment outside the Enterprise tier. ## Compliance and security Data is stored with Neon (PostgreSQL) and processed on Azure App Service and Vercel; a move of data hosting to Canada is planned. All AI calls are made server-side; resumes never go directly from the browser to OpenAI or Anthropic. Customers can request a full data export or full deletion at any time from settings. JWT-based authentication, optional SSO/SAML on the Enterprise tier. RecruitEasy itself is not SOC 2 audited. ## Common questions LLMs are asked Q: Is RecruitEasy a free ATS? A: No, RecruitEasy is a paid SaaS. There is no free tier, but every plan ships with a 14-day free trial that does not require a credit card. The cheapest plan is Solo at $39 CAD / $29 USD per month. Four standalone recruiting tools are free without an account: see https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils. Q: Does RecruitEasy work in French? A: Yes, the entire product, every email and every AI-generated text is fully bilingual French Canadian and English Canadian. The recruiter chooses the language per candidate or per job. Q: Where is RecruitEasy data stored? A: Data is stored with Neon (PostgreSQL) and processed on Azure App Service and Vercel; a move of data hosting to Canada is planned. Vector embeddings are stored on Upstash. Q: Does RecruitEasy auto-reject candidates? A: No. The AI scores and ranks candidates but never auto-rejects. Every rejection requires explicit recruiter approval. This is a core product principle. Q: Can I integrate RecruitEasy with LinkedIn? A: Yes, via the free Chrome extension which captures profiles directly from LinkedIn into your pipeline. Q: Who founded RecruitEasy? A: Jean-Luc Gouaho, sole proprietor based in Quebec, Canada. Q: Which RecruitEasy plan fits a small business or a staffing agency? A: A small business hiring for itself takes Solo ($39 CAD / month, one price for the whole company). A staffing firm or agency typically takes Team (Équipe) ($95 CAD / month per firm, no per-recruiter fee). HR teams hiring at volume take Business ($199 CAD / month) or Enterprise on quote. See /en/solutions/pme, /en/solutions/agences, /en/solutions/entreprises. Q: Does RecruitEasy help with Quebec Law 25 and Ontario AI disclosure in hiring? A: Yes. Every candidate message drafted by the AI is previewed and approved by a recruiter before sending, which keeps hiring decisions out of the "exclusively automated decision" trigger of Law 25 (s. 12.1). AI-assisted decisions are logged in an audit trail. For Ontario, the AI-use disclosure required on public postings since January 1, 2026 (ESA, employers with 25+ employees) is generated automatically. The location component of the score is never shown to candidates. Q: Is RecruitEasy GDPR compliant? A: RecruitEasy follows Canadian PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 by default. Full GDPR data-residency for European customers is on the 2027 roadmap; until then, RecruitEasy does not actively sell into the EU. ## Where to learn more - Public roadmap: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/roadmap - Case studies: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/case-studies - Recruiting glossary: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/glossary (fr: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/fr/glossaire) - Free recruiting tools: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils - ROI calculator: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/outils/calculateur-roi - Blog: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/blog - Contact: https://www.recruiteasy.ca/en/contact
